In the interest of not over-complicating New Year's Eve, we decided to stay close to home for a small hike at Annadel State Park. I don't really know how long it was (probably not more than five miles or so), and it took us about two and a half hours.
We've been experiencing morning freezes for the past few days, so what interested me the most on the trails was the amount of ice we encountered.

Goodspeed Trail Pt. 1
Here's part one of today's hike on the Goodspeed Trail in Sugarloaf State Park. We were doing this once a month for about nine months or so, but over the last couple we fell off the wagon. As a result, today kicked our butts. Following the recent trend I'll do my photos today and then follow up with Dad's in a few days.

Dad Post
Here's a post with a handful of Dad's pictures from last Sunday's killer hike. Still not sure where we're off to tomorrow, but with all the rain the Bay Area has had lately, there should be plenty of slippin' and slidin' wherever we end up.
