Marin Headlands: Part 1

Today's hike was in the Marin Headlands, with the idea of finding a good perch from which to observe the Blue Angels for Fleet Week. About an hour into the hike we stumbled upon and explored an abandoned army outpost on top of one of the peaks.

So there will be at least one more post on today's hike showing more of the actual headlands and where we ended up, but that will definitely not happen tonight. So- for real this time- until tomorrow.

  1. Abandoned places are so interesting. Goes to show that there are many different types of "ghost towns". The photos are wonderful.

  2. Thanks, Mom! And yeah, I kept hoping we'd find more buildings to explore. We found some others the last time we were up there, but they were much smaller.
